Your Monday Dose Of Inspiration

On this day in history: In 1835, Henry Burden patented the horseshoe manufacturing machine. In 1889, the first jukebox made its debut in San Francisco, at the Palais Royale Saloon. Coffee Break

Understanding The Information On A Bag Of Coffee – What do the symbols you see on a bag of fresh coffee mean? And how can you make sure you are getting the best coffee for your money? Here are a few things to consider.

The Jewel Caterpillar – This little creature is beautiful and fascinating, and displays the hand of God in its design.

Rats In The Toilet – I have never experienced a rat in my toilet, but it is a fairly common occurrence. National Geographic has put together an interesting video displaying how these creatures accomplish this feat. It is really nothing short of amazing.

Once In A Blue Moon – This is some incredible footage of a blue moon rising in Australia. It is simply stunning to watch this time lapse video.

Today In Church History
On this day in 1654, Blaise Pascal experienced an eye-opening experience that led to his conversion, and changed the whole course of his life and work. Read more about his experience here.

When Routines Become Idols – I am all about establishing daily routines. I find the consistency extremely helpful. But too much of a good thing soon stops being a good thing. This article was pretty eye-opening for me.

Why Doesn’t Mark Say Anything About Jesus’ Birth – With Christmas just around the corner, many of us will be reading and studying the birth narratives more closely. But you won’t be studying from the Gospel of Mark. The birth of Jesus isn’t recorded by Mark. But it’s not completely absent either.

“My Spouse Is My Best Friend” – Long have I hated that statement. Sure, I get what people are trying to say, but I think it is an inaccuracy at best, and dangerous at worst. My wife is a friend, but she goes far, far beyond that. And she doesn’t fulfill all the roles in my life that my friends fill. This article sums up my thoughts on this quite nicely.
