Reviewing The Month On JeffRandleman.com

Here we are, in the second month of the new year. January is over, and February is under way. And things are hopping around here!

Top Posts for January 2016

It has been a very busy month for the Randlemans. We celebrated our 22nd anniversary and two birthdays in January, with two more coming up in February. Our church kicked off 2016 with a study in Colossians and Financial Peace University, led by our youth minister and another leader.

As a result, we have been making some significant changes in the life of our family. That has given us a lot of new things to learn, and many to unlearn, both in our spiritual lives and our finances. But we are experiencing some growth challenges as we do so, and we will be better for having experienced them.

With that going on, the month of January has been crazy and awesome all rolled into one! I am excited to review the month, and to look ahead to next month as well.

So, in case you missed them, here are the top seven posts from JeffRandleman.com for the month of January.

  1. How To Take Notes While Reading The Bible
  2. 6 Characteristics Of A Good Communicator
  3. The Difference Between Purpose, Vision, and Mission
  4. My Current Philosophy Of Ministry
  5. 7 Steps To Defining A Purpose And Vision For Youth Ministry
  6. 2016 Bible Reading Plans
  7. Why You Need To Develop A Philosophy Of Ministry

All of these are old posts, from the Foundations of Youth Ministry series, or the series on communication. The only exception is the Bible Reading Plan for 2016. However, just under the top seven were several more posts about reading and studying the Bible, some of which were much more recent material.

This is very encouraging to me. Much of my older material has staying power. I have seen that for a while now. But my more recent posts have taken some time to develop a following. Part of that is to be expected, since the longer it has been around, the more entrenched in the search engines it has become.

But to see some of my more recent writing develop a larger readership is encouraging in a whole new way. That means that my consistent readers are growing in number. That is evident in more than just this list of top posts. January was also my highest traffic month ever, with the most pageviews registered since I began blogging. And I have the most email subscribers that I have ever had as well.

So, to you who read via RSS feeds, or through the email subscription, let me give a very big and heartfelt “Thank You!!!” You are an incredible part of this process and I appreciate every one of you who takes the time to read what I write.

As for my own perspective, my favorite post from the month of January was my review of Angels’ Cup Coffee. If you haven’t read this yet, you need to do so, and then go on over and give Angels’ Cup a try. It is definitely worth it!

I am praying that you have a great month! I look forward to seeing what God brings in the weeks to come!
