I love coffee. I enjoy drinking it. I enjoy brewing it. I enjoy roasting. I have even painted with it. It’s a big part of my day, and a hobby that I greatly enjoy. But I think it is misunderstood. Coffee contains caffeine, which many people think is some all-inclusive wonder stimulant. But it’s not exactly that. It has some great properties, to be sure. But just how does it affect our body? This video gives some insight to that, and is kind of amusing as it does so.

I have had several discussions over the years with others about whether we should capitalize divine pronouns or not. In other words, should we use “he” or “He” when it refers to God? That’s a good question, and one that has strong opinions on either side. I prefer not to capitalize such pronouns, and this brief video from Bill Mounce describes four different reasons why the text of the NIV doesn’t capitalize them either.

I believe I might qualify for this club, and if you ask my kids, I definitely qualify for it. However, I don’t see it as a negative thing.
