Make sure you read Part 1: The Need For A Biblical Worldview, and Part 2: The Worldview Issue.

Do you remember the scene in The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King where Aragorn and Gandalf, along with the hobbits and the armies stood face to face with the gates of Mordor, ready to face Sauron?

It’s an incredible scene, probably one of my favorites from the movies. The armies are facing each other across the plain. It’s deathly still. Aragorn, the King, turns and looks at his friends, his companions, his army, and says “For Frodo.” And then he turns around and runs into battle alone.

It takes a few moments, but Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took quickly charge after him, followed by Gandalf, Gimli and then the entire army.

The battle scene that follows is epic and almost majestic: good battles agains evil. The future of Middle Earth hangs in the balance; in fact the very existence of Middle Earth is at stake.

And, if you’ve seen the movies, or read the books, you know what happens. You know how it all turns out. You know the outcome of the battle.

Just like in Middle Earth, there is a major battle for truth in America, and in our world.

I have become so convinced of this, that I now have to not only practice what I preach, but I have to help others develop this in their lives as well.

I believe that the key piece of our culture and society is our young people: elementary students, junior high students, high school students. What they are taught about our origins is critical, if our culture expects to rebound from the effects of materialistic humanism and atheism.

My calling is to teach the Truth to teens; and my prime focus will continue to be teens, for as long as I am able to teach them. And many of the resource material and lessons that I put together are a part of a grand design in curriculum for youth ministries and home schools that reinforce biblical worldview development.

I believe that this is part of the next step in my youth ministry journey. I’ve always aspired to write a book. But I’ve never known exactly what I wanted to write about. That is no longer true. I now know exactly what I need to write about, and who I need to write it to.

What about you? What is your next step?

Continue to develop your biblical worldview.

Here’s a fact: You already have a worldview.

Here’s another fact: It is impossible to live without a worldview.

So, the question is: What is the source of your worldview? More importantly, is your worldview biblically based, is it based in secularism and paganism, or is it mixed, some Bible and some secular?

God’s Word tells us how we can develop, and continue to strengthen, a biblical worldview:

John 8:31:

If you continue in my word…

Romans 12:2

Be transformed by the renewing of your mind…

Philippians 2:5:

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus…

Ephesians 4:22-24:

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 5:18:

Be filled with the Spirit…

Colossians 3:16:

Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you…

Your worldview is crucial. The way you view the world around you and all that is in it is critical.

Here’s my challenge to you: take a good hard look at the lens through which you view the world. Is it biblical? Is it based on Truth? Or has the world infiltrated your thinking? Take a good look. And then make whatever changes are necessary.

Question: Is your worldview based more on the Bible? Or is it more worldly centered? What steps can you take to strengthen your worldview? You can leave a comment by clicking here.
