To exhibit God’s righteous anger, you must be angry at sin wherever you find it – especially in yourself.
One of the things in my bucket list is to travel Europe and find castles. Some of the most beautiful buildings ever made can be found on that list, in my opinion. Until such a time as I can do that, videos like this one will have to suffice.
Mission 2016
This week, I once again have the opportunity to go on a mission trip to Show Low, Arizona, with two of my daughters. We are headed to American Indian Christian Mission for a week, to help establish a new church plant in an Apache community that does not have a church. We will also conduct some services and Vacation Bible School activities in this community to draw attention to this new church on the White Mountain Apache reservation.
We are looking forward to the opportunity to grow in our faith, and I am excited to be able to do this with two of my kids.
In the meantime, things will be quiet around here for the next week and a half. For the next few days, I have scheduled several inspiring videos that I either found interesting or challenging. These will appear about every other day. All normal posts will pause for the duration of the trip, and resume upon our return home. This includes Memorize 1 Peter, and Coffee Breaks.
Thanks for being a part of the JR.com community! We would appreciate your prayers for our trip!
Step Out Of Your Comfort Zone With Short Term Missions
Later this week, I am headed out with two of my kids to American Indian Christian Mission, near Show Low, Arizona. The three of us are really excited about this short term missions opportunity!
Trips like this one are always cause both excitement and some amount of trepidation for me. A short term mission trip causes you to step outside of your comfort zone and do things you may not be comfortable doing. That has the ability to make one very nervous.
But at the same time, the excitement is there, because a short term mission trip has boundless opportunities for growth. It’s pretty incredible actually.
On this particular trip to AICM, our team has an incredible project. One of the larger communities on the White Mountain Apache reservation, and yet one of the more isolated communities at the same time, has no church. AICM has been working with the tribal council to lease a property and plant a church there to help meet both the spiritual and the physical needs of the community.
AICM has had a long standing relationship with this tribe, and with this community. They have been there, working with and alongside the people there for years, and have built a solid reputation. Several of the students at the AICM boarding school have come from this community as well. So planting a church there is a natural expansion of the work that AICM has already been doing.
Today, the US celebrates her independence from Britain, in 1776. But as Christians, we have a freedom that is even greater than this!
In honor of Independence Day, here is a video of John Schlitt performing Whiteheart’s song, Independence Day, even including Whiteheart’s Billy Smiley on guitar.
This is from the era of Christian music I grew up listening to and loved. I hope you enjoy!

Reviewing The Month On JeffRandleman.com
Summer is in full swing around here. The kids are in the middle of summer camps and other activities and trips. Our church’s mission trip to American Indian Christian Mission is just around the corner, and the AC has been running non stop. Pretty typical summer, actually…
July also brings with it some down time. Once the major, week-long events are past, I will have a chance to slow down for a few days and catch my breath. I’m toying with the idea of taking a couple of days away and finding a nice river with a place to hang my hammock for a while.
June has been a crazy month for blogging and writing. I took a week of vacation during the month, and I refrained from doing anything. I cleaned out one gutter, thought about mowing the lawn, and promptly dismissed that idea, and averaged three naps a day. And I didn’t even turn on my computer to write or check things out. And let me tell you, that felt good, although I was ready to get back to work.
As a result, June was a bit slow around here. I didn’t write as much as normal, and with so many church and family activities, something had to give a bit. July will be more like normal. While we are on the mission trip, I have a series of videos and quotes that I find inspiring scheduled to appear. I hope you enjoy those.
