My Top Posts For May 2011

May is over!  That is so hard to believe!

Since it is now June, I thought it would be interesting to see what May look liked for JeffRandleman.com.

Wordle.net Word Picture for May 2011

In case you missed them, here are my top five posts for May, in terms of page views:

  1. Hubble Deep Space Field
  2. Responding To The Devastating Tornado In Joplin, Missouri
  3. Why You Need To Develop A Philosophy Of Ministry
  4. My Current Philosophy Of Ministry
  5. Book Review – Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
  6. Why I Love Mondays

I know.  That’s six.  Here’s why I listed one extra.  The Hubble Deep Space Field photo is always the post that generates the most page views.  Always.  As in 1000% more than any other post.  So, in a way, I don’t count it in my top five, since it’s a given that it will be there.

This is really kind of amazing to me, since I posted this picture in 2008!  It’s still generating lots of interest!

Out of all of these, two of them are part of the Foundations Of Youth Ministry series.  This is a series that I am extremely excited about.  If you are involved in youth ministry, you may want to check out some of these posts, covering things they never really taught me in college.

My person favorite post this month was Why I Love Mondays.  Which one was yours?

    • Thanks for posting a link to your summary of the month. Looks like it was a good one!

    • Thanks, Karl! I may just have to write a series on what I like about each day of the week… Hmmm…..

    • I saw your summary, in fact my question of favorites was inspired by your post. Thanks!

      • Sweet! Glad to be an inspiration. Of course, I can’t take total credit – we have had great examples through Michael Hyatt’s site and most of my post was in response to a challenge/jump start through BlogRocket 🙂

        • Totally agree with the Mike Hyatt comment!

You joined the BlogRocket community? I’m jealous! I wanted to, but finances/time prevented it right now. How is it? I’d love to know your thoughts!

          • I didn’t sign up for the paid membership (wasn’t ready to spend the money on it); but, I signed up for the email list. Every so often, I’ll get an email talking about different things. The last one included a prompt for a simple blog post – so, I thought I would try it out.

            • I see. I’ve been wondering how the Blog Rocket program is going. I subscribed to the email like you did, but apparently they’ve been getting stuck in my spam filter. I had to make sure they won’t block from here on out.

Have you considered paying the money and joining the Blog Rocket course? I’ve thought about it, but I’m not sure exactly how much it’ll help… I really want to, because I’m sure there is some good stuff there. Just curious whether it’s a fit for me, not being a “professional” blogger.

              • I am in the same boat. I have thought about doing the BlogRocket course. The cost is a question and it would be nice to know a little more of what is involved with the course to know if it is a good fit before spending the money.

June is a really busy month for me – so, I will probably wait until July and then try to figure out what all I want to do for the next stage of the blog.

                • I completely understand. June and July are incredibly busy here. I just returned from a week of camp, and head out Sunday for another.

If you join Blog Rocket, blog about it… I’d be interested in reading your thoughts on it.
