Reviewing The Month On JeffRandleman.com

March was crazy. First of all, it didn’t come in like a lion and go out like a lamb. It did it all backwards. Second, Easter Sunday was the final week of March, which made it extra busy. And finally, we just had a lot of stuff going on!

Top Posts for March 2016

I don’t know how I manage to stay as busy as I do. It seems like there is always something going on, and we have somewhere to be. With a family like ours, with seven kids, one of them always seems to need to be somewhere, all the time.

This past week, I managed to find some time to take a break and not do anything. I stayed home. Shocking, I know. It was kinda nice.

Because of all that we have going on in our lives, I have been intentional about two things for the past few weeks: writing more and writing less.

I have been writing a lot more… In my journal. I have been focusing on planting my thoughts and ideas, spiritual growth, prayers and more on paper. This is a habit I have held for a long time, and now I am trying to step it up a notch.

I have been writing less… Online. At least here. You may know I also maintain a site for dads, over at Deliberate Dads. And I have started a new site, built upon the reliability of Genesis, for my work with ICR’s educational program, where I am pursuing a Master’s Degree. You can find that at Reading Genesis. And, I have recently sparked a few ideas about a blog dedicated to writing, about writing, the tools of writing and stuff like that. This is a work in the initial stages right now, and we’ll see how things go.

And so I’ve been very intentional about how I divide the time I have between these different projects. After, of course, my time spent with family, and on church and ministry related work. I feel sometimes like I need a few extra hours each day just to get done what needs to be done.

So, in case you missed them, here are the top seven posts from JeffRandleman.com for the month of March, in terms of traffic.

  1. 6 Characteristics Of A Good Communicator
  2. How To Take Notes While Reading The Bible
  3. The Difference Between Purpose, Vision, and Mission
  4. My Current Philosophy Of Ministry
  5. Why You Need To Develop A Philosophy Of Ministry
  6. 7 Steps To Defining A Purpose And Vision For Youth Ministry
  7. Trying A New Bible Reading System

There is nothing new here. All of these have consistently been near the top of the list, always jockeying for position with each other. However, the next ten posts after these are posts that surprised me. I learned a few months ago to make sure I pay attention not only to these seven, but to the rest of the list. I am pleasantly surprised at what turns up there.

My personal favorite post from the month of March is more of a series of posts. Each Monday, I post a list of links I find encouraging and entertaining, called Coffee Break. Throughout March, I linked several videos that showcased the beauty of God’s creation from different places around the world. Videos like these still cause me to pause in awe; and make we long to go see some of these locations in person. I hope you enjoyed them as well.

I am praying that you have a great month! I look forward to seeing what God brings in the weeks to come!
